Recommended Literature

Reading great literature is one of the best ways to get a feel for a place or a culture when you cant actually get there yourself.  Below is a list of literature titles for the various regions we study in this course. I hope you will take the time to read one or two that you find interesting.  Read the books just for fun, or partner with your parent to create your own high school World Literature course using the downloadable literature guide availbale at www.litcharts.com. This website also has research "how to's"and clear explinations for literary terms and devices.  Check it out! Even if you are just reading for fun, these guides will help you get much more out of the experience.
